About Us

Whether you are looking for a new place to call home, start a business, or set up an industry, Benton County has a wealth of resources to share. Our Community offers great schools, a large variety of tourism opportunities, and quality healthcare, and we provide many cultural, civic, and charitable opportunities. Benton County, with its close proximity to Interstate 40 and the Tennessee River, offers a vast amount of natural beauty and opportunities for growth. Our community airport is equipped with an automated fueling system and provides over 5,000 feet of runway. This airport is conveniently located near our Benton County Industrial Park and close to Highway 641 which connects to Interstate 40.

Benton County's Tennessee River allows residents and visitors alike to enjoy a variety of recreational activities such as hunting, fishing, boating, and sightseeing. The Benton County Veterans Park honors our veterans with a beautiful memorial for the public to visit at any time. This park also offers a walking track with activities for softball, baseball, and soccer.

Parks & Recreation Grant

Benton County is in the process of applying for parks and recreation grant funding through the Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation's Recreation Resources Division. The grant applications will focus on developing the Camden-Benton County Farmers Market and Events Complex near the fairgrounds. The City of Camden is submitting a joint application with the County for the construction of a farmers market pavilion and parking facilities.

The County is submitting an application for the renovation of the existing building at the site to develop an indoor multi-use facility that will provide space for indoor farmers' markets, classes, and other programming needs in the community. We are asking for the community's input on the proposed development. The complete Project Proposal Presentations are linked below. If you have any questions, you may contact Ashely Travis at 731-584-6011.
